iPadOS 17 to improve the experience on bigger iPad Pro models

Apple is constantly expanding its iPad lineup. In addition to a new affordable 10th Gen iPad, the company has launched new iPad Pro models with Apple M2 chips. Although these launches were not really surprising, Apple seems to be preparing new compelling products for its iPad lineup. As per a new report, an all-new iPad with a 16-inch display is being developed. You should not hold your breath for it, as its launch may happen only by the end of the next year. Apple will likely bring some new features with iPadOS 17 to justify the existence of larger iPad Pro models.

According to The Information and The Verge, Apple is currently working on a larger 16-inch model of the iPad. This is actually news, after all, previous reports have been suggesting iPads with 14.1-inch and 15-inch displays. If the report is accurate, then the 16-inch will be one of the largest tablets on the market. The original report states it will arrive in the last quarter of 2023. That means anytime between October and December 2023. That will be right after the iPadOS 17 release.

Apple's massive iPad is set to come next year, is iPadOS ready for it? Maybe iPadOS 17 will

The product may not be cheap as per the report. In fact, it may reach the price of some of Apple's current laptops. Do you want a massive iPad? Prepare your pocket, because it will not be affordable. The report does not reveal this, but we can only imagine this iPad to be part of the Pro series. The company will likely keep improving the experience of its software to make these devices more useful.

Apple is certainly working hard to make the iPad lineup more capable, iPadOS is not the only thing changing. In fact, with the arrival of Apple M2-powered tablets, the performance is getting closer and closer to the current MacBooks. While some models still have Apple A-series processors, more models with M-series processors are emerging.

In the future, we expect the differences to become even small between iPads and MacBooks. For the next year, the company may present the Apple M3 towards the end of the year. However, we don't know whether it will be powering the new iPad. One thing we know: the new iPad Pro model will likely carry an Apple M-series processor. After all, a large product like this one will certainly bring the best performance. There will be many Apple M2 variations by the end of the next year.

Multi-Tasking is the focus

The company has also been working to improve the software and offer a complete experience to the users. iPadOS 16.1 bring a plethora of features to allow users to carry the tablet almost like a portable touch-screen computer. The OS brings an interesting feature such as Stage Manager. It greatly improves the multitasking experience, and more features are coming. Next year, comes iPadOS 17 and we expect even more features to improve the experience. Perhaps multi-tasking will again be the focus. We believe that Apple will soon bring iPadOS close to macOS rather than making it a different version of iOS.
