ASUS ROG Phone 6 will be the first gaming phone with IPX4 certification
The next king of gaming smartphones might be coming in the form of the ROG Phone 6. We say "king" because it probably will have the best performance in the category thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC which offers 10 percent more performance than previous gaming phones with the SD8 Gen 1. Furthermore, the new SoC is also 30 percent more power-efficient and will not heat like its predecessor. ASUS confirmed the ASUS ROG Phone 6 will hit the market on July 5. The company keeps building the hype for the upcoming product. Today, it has announced the phone will be splash-resistant and is teasing it as the "World's first IPX4 gaming phone".

Among the previously confirmed features of the ROG Phone, we also have an AMOLED screen with a 165 Hz refresh rate. It will be one of the few devices with this astonishing refresh rate. In fact, most smartphone OEMs are comfortable with the 120 Hz refresh rate, and just a few are exploring the 144 Hz. So, ASUS ROG Phone 6 will comfortably stay in the position for a long time. The phone will also bring improved cooling to ensure performance and avoid throttling. The device will bring a triple-camera setup, and there is a small secondary display at the back.
According to the TENAA listing, the phone has a 6.78-inch diagonal with a biometric scanner underneath. The device will have up to 18 GB of RAM, and storage may go up to 1 TB. The main camera is a 64 MP shooter, while the selfie snapper is a 12 MP unit. The phone has a massive 6,000 mAh battery that will charge fast through 65W charging. The device passed through Geekbench a few days ago confirming that a 16 GB variant is also on the way. The phone runs Android 12 which is hardly a surprise right now.
ASUS will likely keep building the hype in the upcoming days.
