Just yesterday we have seen the launch of the new Redmi Router AX5, being yet another Wi-Fi 6 supporting device from the Xiaomi ecosystem. And because this latest router is not only very well equipped, but also very affordable, it stirred quite a customer demand. Popular e-shop Gearbest is really not wasting any time, because they already have this piece available in their presale offer. Of course slightly higher than the chinese price, but in line of the usual global markup.
Redmi Router AX5 belongs to the new generation of devices supporting the modern standard Wi-Fi 6 (aka 802.11ax) . It is equipped with 5-core Qualcomm chip IPQ6000 with 4 CPU and 1 NPU cores, 128 MB ROM and 256 MB RAM. With four intependent signal amplifiers and four external antennas it can aslo cover quite a lot of ground . Functionality on both band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) is boosted by the OFDMA efficiency transmission and support for mesh networking. Router has three LAN gigabit ports and is fully optimized for the Xiaomi Smart Home platform.
White color version of the Redmi Router AX5 is available in Gearbest presales for just $55.99 and the expected shipping date of the packages is roughly 14 days ahead. So if you are looking to boost your Wi-Fi setup with a modern router, you can't go wrong with this one.
