Spain's ministry has banned Huawei from accessing sensitive information

Another chapter in Huawei's history has just started as Spain’s Ministry of Defense has banned access to all Huawei devices from its data servers. Although the Ministry is banning Huawei devices from specifically accessing sensitive information, which includes e-mails, the country isn't banning the use of Huawei devices for consumers.

According to the La Informacion report, members of the Ministry of Defense can continue using their Huawei smartphones. However, they won't be allowed to use it to access data from the Ministry's servers. Therefore, they will have to buy other smartphones from allowed brands to keep their work-related stuff. Those who are still using Huawei smartphones in the Ministry of Defense will need to disconnect immediately.

The Ministry of Defense failed to explain the reasons behind this ban. However, we can assume that Spain government is taking a ride on the US accusations of espionage. The Chinese Behemoth has already denied all these accusations. The company is suing the United States government for the unconstitutional ban of its hardware.

Huawei states that security is one of its top priorities. Moreover, Huawei's spokesperson stated that it never had a problem with cyber assurance in the 170 countries that it operates within the last 30 years. Despite the ban imposed by the US government, the Chinese giant is still performing well in the smartphone segment.
