In case you were wondering yes, it's official. Meet the new Yotaphone 3, also known as YOTA 3 in Chinese/Asian markets.

It's a strange looking smartphone equipped with a 5,5 inch AMOLED main display (full HD) along with a second E-Ink screen placed at the back with HD resolution and grayscale color appearance that consumes less power and does not strain the eyes. According to the manufacturer, it took 10 months and... 100 specialists from Russia and China to work together in order to finalize the device's design and finally be able to produce it in large numbers.

The YOTA 3 comes with a Snapdragon 625 SoC (yes, it's a mid-ranger), packs a fingerprint scanner just below the main display and it will be available in two variants: The base model has 4GB of RAM and a native storage of 64 GB. The other model features 4GB of RAM and an inbuilt storage of 128 GB.

If you have a good look at the back side of the device - just above the E-ink display- you will find a 13-megapixel main camera, coupled with dual-tone LED flash. On the front is the 12-megapixel selfie snapper. The "strange" looking smartphone runs on YotaOS 3.0 (a customized edition of the Android 7.1.1 Nougat), features a USB-C port, along with a 3,300mAh battery inside.

You can find it available for pre orders starting from September 5 at JD.com: the 64 GB YotaPhone 3 is priced at 2,398 Yuan (~$360) and the 128 edition of the smartphone carries a pricing of 3,098 Yuan (~$465).
