PlayStation 5 will have fewer exclusives games than Xbox Series X

The PlayStation 5 would have no major exclusivity at launch, unlike the Xbox Series X. While the console of Microsoft will rely on 12 to 16 exclusives in its line-up, Sony would be largely satisfied with a port of several PS4 blockbusters.

PlayStation 5 vs Xbox Series X: Microsoft would win the battle for exclusives

The war between the NextGen consoles is already launched a year from their release. On the communication front, Microsoft has already taken the lead by unveiling the Xbox Series X long before the PlayStation 5. On the characteristic level, we already know a lot on the technical sheet of the two consoles which will be about the same level. The content of the line-up happens to be the big unknown at the moment and this is one of the factors that will be determining the winner between Microsoft and Sony.

Xbox Series X has a huge advantage over PS5, according to rumors

Phil Spencer, vice-president of Gaming at Microsoft has already announced a few weeks ago that Xbox will not make the same mistakes as in the past. The content will be a key factor in this war. While Microsoft presented the Xbox Series X at the 2019 Game Awards, Sony lifted the veil on Godfall, the first game officially announced for the PS5. The title Gran Turismo 7 should also be launched at the same time as the console.

As for Microsoft, we know that Halo Infinite will be part of the line-up of the Xbox Series X, like Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, the sequel to the game Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. We can also expect a new Forza to respond symmetrically to Gran Turismo 7. This is all we know at the current stage and we should expect more surprises in the months to come.

According to Anton Logvinov, Microsoft will steal the show from Sony in this field. But we have to wait and see if this will be really the case.
