Alcatel, the international arm of TCL have just updated their website with 3 new Android phones ranging from the Idol Mini to the updated Idol X.
TCL’s Idol X with 2GB RAM and a faster 1.5Ghz MT6589T processor has been on sale in China for a few months now, and finally the updates have made their way over to the Alcatel branded phone.
Alcatel Idol X
The Alcatel Idol X is now listed as 6.9mm, 1080 FHD phone with options of a single SIM 8GB version and dual SIM 16GB model. Both options have 13.1 mega-pixel cameras, and offer an SD card bay for up to 32GB cards.
The Idol S is a mid-range Android phone with a 4.7-inch 720p display, the older 1.2Ghz quad-core MT6589 chipset, 1GB RAM and 4GB memory. There is also an 8 mega-pixel rear camera, Android 4.2 and it comes bundled with a few Android games.
Alcatel Idol Mini
The big surprise is the Alcatel Idol Mini. Although the mini could have been a slimmed down version of the idol X, Alcatel have decided to make the baby of the family also the lowest spec’d.
A 4.3-inch 854 x 480 display is pretty dire in this day an age as is the 1.3Ghz dual-core processor, 5 mega-pixel rear camera and 512mb RAM!
Alcatel haven’t announced pricing yet, but neither of the phones should cost all that much.
