Apple is prepping to launch the iPhone SE 3, and two new iPad in India, and the devices have already arrived in the country for testing. If rumors making the rounds online prove to be true, Apple is currently hard at work on a more affordable iPhone SE. Furthermore, the purported iPhone model could go official either in March or April this year. However, an earlier report claims that the iPhone SE 3 could launch in the second half of April or early May.
Also, the Cupertino-based tech behemoth is reportedly working on new iPad models that could debut at its impending Spring event. The rumor mill does not cease churning out speculations around Apple's upcoming products. As a result, these devices have been subject to multiple leaks lately. Now, a new leak implies that the iPhone SE 3, and the new iPad models are headed to India. According to a report by 91mobiles, the recently imported iPhone SE 3, and two new iPad models will be undergoing some tests in India.
iPhone SE 3 India Launch
As expected, Apple is still mum on its plan to launch the iPhone SE 3, and new iPads in India. However, it looks like the tech giant is prepping to bring the budget-friendly iPhone into the Indian market soon. Moreover, the publication claims that an iPhone carrying model numbers A2784, A2783, and A2595 have been imported to India. Furthermore, the report suggests that the device will go through a few tests in the country. Also, the site predicts that the new iPhone will retail for around $300. This converts roughly to about INR 22,500. 91mobiles speculates that the phone could launch as the iPhone SE 3.
Speculations Around The New iPhone & iPad Models
Under the hood, the new iPhone SE 3 will reportedly pack an A15 chip. Furthermore, it is likely to offer 5G network support as well. On the downside, it could retain the same design adopted by the 2020 model. In other words, the SE 3 could sport a 4.7-inch display and feature a Touch ID Home button at the bottom. In the photography department, the imminent iPhone could house a 12MP single camera at the back. As mentioned, new Apple iPad models have also arrived in India for testing purposes.
One of the two iPad models will be carrying the A2589 and A2588 model numbers. Moreover, this device could turn out to be the iPad Air, which retails for around $500 - $700 (about INR 37,500 - INR 52,300). If past leaks are anything to go by, the iPad Air 2022 will be powered by an Apple A15 Bionic chip. Also, it is likely to offer 5G network support. Other notable features include a Centre Stage support. Regrettably, it is likely to look similar to the iPad Air 2020 model, with negligible changes.
The second iPad model could turn out to be a more affordable iPad. Furthermore, it could carry a price tag of around $300 (about INR 22,500). This variant is linked to model numbers A2761 and A2757. Moreover, this affordable iPad will reportedly receive incremental upgrades over the 9th-gen model. However, it is worth noting that the aforesaid pricing isn't likely to be the launch price of the upcoming iPhone and iPad models. The government will be including the import duties and local taxes on the new Apple products.
