Apple's iPhone 7 and 7 Plus could support NFC tags when iOS 11 launches

I guess this is good news (and... better late than never). According to a Developer page for Core NFC notes, it seems that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models can read NFC tags (!), with iOS 11 installed.

Here's what the specific pages mentions:

"For example, your app might give users information about products they find in a store or exhibits they visit in a museum."

Don't get your hopes up however, since there's no mention yet of writing to tags and more importantly, no device-to-device communication. What's certain is that when iOS 11 is released NFC functionality is going to be open to third-party apps, allowing for more features and possibilities as you can understand.

That's all we know for now guys, but it sure looks interesting to finally see if Apple will support the NFC tag, or if the Apple Watch be able to use NFC for the same reasons!

What do you think? Perhaps Apple admits defeat and changes their opinion?
