AT&T To Sell Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Firmware Files Confirms

Some months ago, there were speculations that Huawei reached a provisional agreement with AT&T over the sales of its flagship smartphones. As of today, an AT&T branded firmware confirms the existence of Huawei Mate 10 Pro within its ranks which indicates that this smartphone will arrive at the doorstep of the US carrier at some point. Rumors indicate that this device is poised to go on sales in the US at about the first quarter of next year.

The firmware of the Mate 10 Pro from which this information was exhumed is named BLA-A09-att-us and there is also an international version named BLA-L09. The differences in nomenclature probably indicate some variations in the devices, however, there is no confirmation of what the differences could be.

The question now is "Will Huawei release the Mate 10 Pro in the US and not the Mate 10?". AT&T will need to pre-install its bloatware on the smartphone which will run Android 8.0 Oreo coupled with EMUI 8.0. Interestingly, this smartphone will have Mozilla's Firefox browser alongside the Chrome browser. All the speculations so far point to a January 2018 release for this smartphone in the US, probably at CES. Information regarding a specific release date and its prices are still under wraps.
