BQ Ubuntu phone prototype spotted at MWC

The Meizu MX3 isn’t the only Ubuntu phone at MWC this week, Spanish phone maker BQ also have their prototype on display too.

Spotted by CNET staff the BQ phone, codenamed Aquairs 5, has a lower level of specification when compared to the Meizu MX3, and will likely become the entry-level Ubuntu phone once launched.

The phone sports dual SIM support, a d1.2Ghz quad-core Cortex A7 processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The images here show the boxy looking phone has a dual LED flash for the rear camera and external speakers in the base.

As for design the BQ Aquaris 5 is very different phone in looks compared to the rounded Meizu. The blocky angular design is something I personally like, but might not be appreciated by everyone.
