Chinese Xiaomi customers could be in for Mi4, MiPad and MiTV price cuts

Xiaomi’s official Tmall E-commerce page was updated today with images that point at price cuts for some of the Xiaomi range including the Xiaomi Mi4.

At 1999 Yuan, the Xiaomi Mi4 is well priced, but in light of what else is on the market it is no longer the bargain it once could have been. The IUNI U3 with 2K display has the same price, as does the larger OnePlus One, and then there is Meizu with the more affordable MX4.

It could be that Xiaomi are now fearing these low-cost rivals forcing them to consider lower prices which would explain the updated promotional images over on Xiaomi’s Tmall page.

The update hints at a new, lower price for the Xiaomi Mi4, Xiaomi TV, Xiaomi power bank, Mi Pad tablet and Piston earphones. What the new prices will be we are not sure however some sources say that the “1?99 Yuan” price listed for the Mi4 could be 1799 Yuan!
