Chuwi announces 3rd Gen CoreBook X with Comet Lake
The CoreBook X has always been one of the most anticipated notebook lineups for the Chuwi brand. And this year is no exception to the rule. The CoreBook X series didn't have many modifications in the previous two generations, but Chuwi brought a fundamental innovation to the notebook in March 2022. It maintains the original advantages of the product and further achieves a lighter and thinner upgrade. And much more
The handy 3:2 screen ratio and lightweight design
The third-generation CoreBook X uses a BOE 14-inch screen, which is the same screen as the Huawei MateBook 14 uses. It adopts an ultra-narrow bezel design with a screen ratio of up to 85%, resolution of 2160*1440 and a 100% sRGB color gamut. With the 3:2 screen once again, the advantage in productivity is clearly there. Compared with the 16:9 screen of the same size, the vertical display area has increased by 18%. Meaning the efficiency in web browsing and office software use has been greatly increased. Thanks to the ultra-narrow bezel and full-size keyboard design, it is 10% smaller than the traditional 14-inch notebooks, almost the size of a 13-inch notebook. In addition, the heavy glass panel of the previous generation has been removed, which reduced the weight of the whole machine by 150g.
Upgraded Comet Lake processor with better performance and balance
The processor gets upgraded to Intel 10th Gen Comet Lake i3-10110U featuring leading 14nm process, accelerated frequency of 4.1GHz, core frequency of 1GHz, 4MB L3 and 15W thermal design power consumption. The GeekBench5 single-core score is 976 and the multi-core score reaches 2000 points. And with 8 hours of comprehensive battery life it's achieving a perfect balance between performance and power consumption. The fan has also been adjusted with the fin density increased by 17%. And the heat dissipation efficiency got better too, alongside lowering the noise. CoreBook X is equipped with 8GB memory and 512GB M.2 2280 SATA SSD with an extra RAM slot. So the users can upgrade the configuration according to their needs.
Intel AX201 WiFi6 wireless network
The wireless network gets upgraded to the current mainstream WiFi6 protocol too. Now it can support up to 2400Mbps speed, which means an increase of up to 3 times compared to its predecessor. And the new Bluetooth 5.1 protocol brings better multi-device connectivity and transmission stability.
Chuwi CoreBook X will go on sale at the end of March at a price of $549. Interested users can already subscribe with your e-mail in advance and get a $50 disount coupon. You will then get notified, when the sales actually kick off.
