Providing for the huge demand for dual SIM smartphones in China, Samsung just unveiled its front-runner in the Galaxy S lineup in a dual SIM avatar -- the Galaxy S5.
With a model number G9009D, the dual SIM version of the Samsung flagship is headed for the country's China Telecom networks. Under the hood, the device is pretty much identical to the international variant of the device, which means it packs the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core chipset, 2GB of RAM, a 16 mega-pixel / 2 mega-pixel camera duo, a 2800mAh battery and of course, the 1920 x 1080p 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display.
Priced 5,299 Yuan ($853), the device will launch on the 11th of April, with support for CDMA2000 networks on one of its SIM slots and GSM on the other.
Specifications of the device haven't managed to have many spellbound, with other, more attractive alternatives in the market. However, Samsung would want to rebate on the market share with a premium dual SIM device in a country that has, through the years, shown the love for one.
