Phone maker Ecoo, known most recently for the Ecoo E04 phone, are set to release a new device based on the design of the Meizu m2 but with rear Touch ID fingerprint scanner.
With a 5-inch display, halo home button and Mediatek MT6735 chipset on board, the E03 looks just like how we envisage the Meizu m2 (set for release later this month). The phone isn’t a Meizu though and is in fact a new model from phone maker Ecoo.
So far we only have a snapshot of the full specifications which include a Touch ID fingerprint scanner on the rear under an 8 mega-pixel Sony IMX219 main camera. Android 5.0 Lollipop is the OS that will ship with the phone.
What we can se from the render is that the body style is very similar to Meizu Meilan range with a halo home button and apparent unibody plastic construction. From past experience with Ecoo we can guess the E03 will be a highly competitive low-cost phone.
