Exynos 2100 SoC will be presented today, It will be used in the Galaxy S21

The Exynos 2100 is expected to receive a powerful ARM Cortex-X1 core, as well as three Cortex- and four Cortex-A55 cores. The GPU will be ARM Mali-G78. The SoC must be based on a 5-nanometer process technology.

Samsung Galaxy S21 will receive a large and fast fingerprint scanner

The well-known network insider under the nickname Ice Universe, who often shares exclusive information about new products in the mobile industry, has published a series of posts dedicated to an important improvement in the upcoming flagship Samsung Galaxy S21 smartphones.

The good news is that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will have an improved ultrasonic sub-screen fingerprint scanner. This is the first upgrade since the Samsung Galaxy S10.

He recalled that the current ultrasonic sub-screen fingerprint scanner measures 4x9 mm; while the new fingerprint sensor has dimensions of 8 x 8 mm. Fingerprint recognition speed has been doubled, according to the insider. He added that Samsung Galaxy S21 users won't need to hold their finger on the screen to recognize the fingerprint. A quick touch will be enough.

The standard version of the Samsung Galaxy S21 with the model number SM-G991U has appeared in the database of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The certification confirmed that the smartphone supports 25W wired charging; and the Samsung Galaxy S21 also supports wireless reverse charging of other gadgets at 9W.

The Galaxy S21 presentation is expected on January 14th.
