Here's the First Look at the Upcoming Oppo Smart TV
A couple of days back, we covered a report where Oppo was in plans to launch their first Smart TV in October. While well-known companies like OnePlus, Nokia, Xiaomi, Realme, and Honor have already launched their smart TV products in this segment. Now, Oppo plans to release its smart TV based on the patterns of its competitors. Courtesy of Weibo, now we do have a first look at one of the upcoming Oppo Smart TV's.
According to the post shared, the upcoming TV will be available in two sizes 55-inches and a 65-inches variant. Interestingly, it will feature a pop-up camera with support for 4K at 120 FPS. As per the images, the bezels are quite thin for a TV with a stand at the bottom holding it in place.
OPPO PREPARES TO LAUNCH ITS FIRST SMART TV IN OCTOBER
During the Oppo Developer Conference 2020, officials announced that the company’s ecosystem will be expanded with a TV that will launch in October. Yi Wei, CEO of Oppo, did not provide details on the upcoming TV but clarified that its release will be a key step towards expanding the company’s ecosystem of devices.
Rumors point to two sizes – 55″ and 65″, with different remote controls. The TV should offer unique features, but which ones are currently unknown. Considering that Oppo’s BBK holding colleagues OnePlus and Realme have already released their smart TVs, it should come as no surprise that Oppo has decided to release their device. The only surprising thing is that not so soon.
Oppo Smart TV Passes 3C Certification
Back in August, two new TV products of OPPO passed the national 3C certification. The certification information showed 55 inches and 65 inches models, respectively. As they are got certified, there is every reason to think; that the first OPPO TV will hit the market quite soon.
This afternoon, Liu Bo, Vice President of OPPO and President of China; released an internal letter to partners in China today.
In the letter, Liu Bo said that ‘the integration of all things is a great opportunity given to us by the times, and IoT is a new wave in this great opportunity. We have the overall thinking and layout for this. Our IoT needs to form a strategy that focuses on the needs of users, believes in the power of simple focus, and achieves the ultimate product one by one, and ultimately constitutes a strong momentum like playing Go. After the launch of smart bracelets and watches, our first smart TV will soon meet with consumers.’
Liu Bo said that ‘at present, many people only regard smart TVs as a substitute for traditional TVs. In OPPO’s view, many users’ needs for TVs have not been met. We aim to re-inspire users’ interest in smart TVs. It may become a key product in the smart home.
