Homemade Chinese Iron Man takes to the streets in Changchun

For those of you not living in China you might not be aware just how amazingly popular Iron Man is here (along with all the current superhero movies). The popularity of the franchise has even sparked a trend in fans building their own Iron Man armour and taking to the streets!

The Iron Man armour shown in these photos was made by a student at Changchun University using nothing more than some EVA foam, acrylic paint and a flashlight to give an authentic 'arc reactor' glow at a cost of just 600 Yuan ($100).

Iron Man 3 has been a particular success here in China due to the cooperation with Chinese film company DMG and product placement deals with electronics maker TCL. Iron Man 3 actually opened in China ahead of the US this past May vacation and features added scenes for Chinese audiences (which make little sense)
