Honor X40 GT headed to China soon, see teaser poster

The Honor X40 GT smartphone's launch date and a myriad of other key details have surfaced online ahead of the official unveiling. Honor is prepping to launch a new smartphone dubbed X40 GT later this month. The Shenzhen-based company recently shared a poster on Weibo to hint at an imminent launch of the X40 series in China.

Moreover, Honor hasn't shied away from giving us a glimpse into the phone's design ahead of launch. Also, the company has already revealed a few specs of the handset in the form of posters and videos. For instance, we know the Honor X40 GT will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.

Honor X40 GT Launch Date In China

Furthermore, the Honor X40 GT has been subject to a lot of leaks lately. Notably, the leaked live shots confirm the presence of a hole-punch cutout on the display. Now, the Honor X40 GT smartphone's launch date in China is set for October 13. The launch event will start at 19: 30 local time, according to a report by Sparrow News.

Interestingly, Honor is gearing up to host a launch event on October 18 in the Philippines. The company will unveil the Honor 70, Honor X6, and Honor Pad 8 at the impending event. Honor revealed the X40 GT launch gate through a teaser poster. The official teaser also suggests the device will feature a large camera ring on the back.

This rear-mounted camera ring will have three sensors and an LED flash. Also, the GT branding will appear on the back. You can pre-order the Honor X40 GT by heading straight to the official Honor China website. Alternatively, you can pre-reserve the handset via Jingdong, Douyin, Douyin, and Tmall. Regrettably, details about the Honor X40 GT price are still scarce.

To recap, tipster Digital Chat Station recently shared the Honor X40 GT hands-on renders on Weibo. The live shots showcased the device in a black color option. Furthermore, the images reveal the handset's rear panel has a circular island. Also, the left spine houses the power and volume buttons.

The Honor X40 GT could sit above the Honor X40 in the Chinese market. The Honor X40 retails for CNY 1,499 in the country. For this price, you get the 6GB RAM+128GB storage model.
