HTC One Max receives network license in China

Two versions of the large screen HTC One Max have just received their network license in China and could be go on sale during next week's October holidays.

HTC’s Max is similar in design to the current flagship HTC One, but has a larger 5.9-inch display and is rumoured to have either a rear mounted fingerprint scanner or rear touch panel similar to the Oppo N1.

Two versions of the HTC One Max have just past the necessary tests to allow HTC to sell the large screen handsets across China. The HTC 8060 is the China Unicom version of the Max and the HTC 809D is the China Telecom (CDMA) model.

Both versions are thought to have a 1080 display, 1.7Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 600 SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB memory, 3300mAh battery, and Ultrapixel rear camera. Pricing in China is believed to be around 5000 Yuan ($816), rather expensive but still cheaper than an iPhone 5s!
