Huawei Ascend P6S officially launched, not worth the upgrade

Huawei have announced the Huawei Ascend P6S, and updated version of the popular P6, but the “update” is barely worth mentioning!

It is common for phone makers to roll out a mid-life update to their phone range to keep a phone fresh and sales going. Usually these updates included the addition of a faster CPU, better camera or even more memory, this is certainly the case for the Huawei Ascend P6S.

The P6S is the same phone, physically, as the previous P6 but the slim device now packs a 1.6Ghz CPU rather than a 1.5Ghz and 16GB memory as standard rather than 8GB. Both a seem like nice updates for anyone who hasn’t already bought the Ascend P6 but in reality we would suggest you go for the P6 still over the P6S due to the P6 having a Micro SD slot! We also assume pricing for the P6 will drop slightly now as the newer version has launched.
