Lenovo Z5 price plunges as the Z5 Pro demand reaches the sky

On November 1st, Lenovo launched the Z5 Pro which is considered as an “Epoch-making flagship” for the company. This smartphone uses a similar slide-screen technology as the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 and Honor Magic 2 but thanks to Lenovo, the market has a slide-screen full-screen smartphone for less than 2000 Yuan. It actually costs 1998 yuan ($288) (6GB+64GB version). Presently, its a "tug of war" to purchase the Lenovo Z5 Pro as the market demand far outweighs the supply. The next sale is expected to take place on November 22.

With the release of Lenovo Z5 Pro, the Lenovo Z5 prices have been significantly reduced. Today, the Aurora blue Lenovo Z5 (6GB +128GB) sold for 1328 yuan ($191). This is a significant drop from its 1799 Yuan ($260) launch price. Despite the strong criticism that followed the release of the Lenovo Z5, at $191, this seems to be good business.

The Z5 uses a 6.2-inch 2.5D double-side curved Corning Gorilla glass body with a resolution of 2246 × 1080 and a screen aspect ratio of 18.7:9. It is powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128Gb of internal storage which is expandable to 256GB. In the camera department, we have an 8MP selfie shooter coupled with a 16MP+8MP dual rear AI cameras. The lights are kept on by a 3300 mAh battery. In addition, Lenovo Z5 added a new U-Touch touch gesture operation (full-screen gesture). The right side of the screen slides into the shortcut bar, the left side of the screen slides into history, and the bottom of the screen slides to the desktop.
