After confirming that the LG G3 was coming this quarter, LG have gone on and announced that it is going to be May 27th when the flagship is officially unveiled.
Interestingly, the phone will get a launch in a total of 6 cities; San Francisco, New York, London will see the G3 on the 27th, and Seoul, Singapore, Istanbul on the following day. The Korean maker had previously hinted at a display with resolution greater than the 'usual' 1080p; we can only imagine it's going to be a 2560 x 1440p panel fitted on the G3.
Invites for the event have reportedly been sent already, with the tagline being 'To be simple is to be Great'. One can't help but notice the capitalized letter 'G', which is an indication of what's to come. While most would have their money on the G3, engadget suggests there's a chance of LG releasing the G Watch as well.
The G3 has suffered numerous leaks through its journey. The phone is expected to come with a Snapdragon 801 CPU, 3GB RAM and a 2560 x 1400p display, besides a rumoured golden variant.
