Low-cost $100 Xiaomi tablet shows up on TENAA with LTE
Having previously been spotted on GFXBench, a mystery Xiaomi tablet has now appeared for network approval featuring LTE support.
Xiaomi device codenamed 2,014,811 has received approval to go on sale in China and according to government database details will be able to connect to GSM, WCDMA, TD-LTE and FDD-LTE networks. That makes this new tablet a little more desirable than the current Mi Pad which supports only WIFI.
Previous leaks showed the mystery tablet will have a 9.2-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, and dual cameras. Taking these specifications in to account and from previous Xiaomi product launches we can expect this mid-range tablet to costa as little as 599 Yuan ($100).
Receiving the go ahead to go on sale at this time of year would mean that Xiaomi could release their new device in time for the Chinese Spring Festival early next year and take advantage of the holiday shopping period.
