Lenovo hope 2014 will be the year that their smartphone business will finally take off and it’s the flagship Lenovo Vibe Z with Snapdragon 800 processor and LTE which they hope will grab headlines for them.

Already launched here in China, CES is the first time the Lenovo Vibe Z has ventured out of it’s homeland. The LTE equipped phone boasts impressive specs which include a 5.5-inch full HD display, 2GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel main camera with f1.8 aperture and 3000mAh battery.

Although it is exciting to see Lenovo’s flagship smartphone outside of China, more so since the price is though to be just $550, we can’t help but think the design of the phone is rather underwhelming, ugly even! And that Lenovo’s ROM builders might have been influenced from Xiaomi’s MIUI ROM!

Still it is a great phone for the price, but is it enough to grab the attention which Lenovo crave?
