Redmi President: There is no plan for a Redmi Max

Some time ago, Xiaomi's founder, Chairman, and CEO, Lei Jun, took to Weibo to announce the layout of Xiaomi product line. Lei Jun said that the mobile phone product line is divided into two: Xiaomi and Redmi. While the Xiaomi brand focuses on black technology and the high-end market, the Redmi brand focuses on high quality, extremely cost-effective and the e e-commerce market. Lei Jun also revealed that there is no plan to launch the new Max and Note smartphones this year.

Since this announcement, there have been speculations that the huge display Max series may be integrated into the Redmi brand. This implies that the Xiaomi Max series will take a bow with the Xiaomi Mi Max 3.

Today, most mobile phones are more than 6 inches. The screen size of the Xiaomi Mi 9 is 6.39 inches. This is not much different from the Xiaomi Mi Max 6.44 inch display. The arrival of the full-screen era also means the arrival of the "big-screen mobile phone". The "big-screen mobile phone product line" that was once specially developed may not be necessary in the full-screen era.
