MIUI 13.5 & ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 in development
According to @DCS, new versions of MIUI and ColorOS based on Android 13 are already under development. There have been speculations that the UX in about two months. The popular Weibo tech blogger @DCS believes that the new generation of ColorOS 13 will be available in the second half of the year. It has now been four months since the first launch of MIUI 13, and it is expected that Xiaomi's next-generation MIUI is also in full swing. Today, a new leak reveals the MIUI 13.5 new logo. Furthermore, it appears that the next major update of the MIUI system will come sooner than we thought.
MIUI 13.5 logo design
The new MIUI 13.5 Logo has been found in the official Xiaomi code, and the new MIUI 13.5 Logo is slightly different from the MIUI 13 Logo. The main difference is that the slash in the number "3" has been removed. When removed, the number "3" looks like both a "3" and a "5". Some people think that this change is to represent MIUI 13.5 as a small update between MIUI 13 and MIUI 14. Others think it's just a design choice.
The new logo of MIUI 13.5 is more stylish and modern, and the streamlined shape can better represent the user interface of MIUI 13.5. The number "1" in the new MIUI 13 Logo has been refined and elongated. The number "3" has also been redesigned to resemble "3" and "5". This stands for MIUI 13.5.
Also, the colours in the MIUI 13.5 Logo are different from those in MIUI 13. The earlier MIUI 13 Logo had more shades of pink, yellow and orange, while the newer Logo has a purple and blue colour scheme similar to the MIUI 11 Logo. This change may herald the return of stability features with the release of MIUI 13.5.
Android 13
Both the MIUI 13.5 and ColorOS 13 will be on top of Android 13. According to Google's schedule, the first Developer Preview version of Android 13 has been available for a few weeks. However, this update is only available for Pixel smartphones. However, we are still far from the deployment of the stable version. According to reports, the stable version will only arrive at the end of 2022.
After Google I/O 2022, the American giant should make the first beta versions of Android 13 available on its Pixel smartphones, and other manufacturers should also make their devices compatible. Only high-end models from manufacturers should be eligible. We can notably cite the Samsung Galaxy S22, the OnePlus 10 Pro, or the Xiaomi 12. However, manufacturers should be rolling out the final version; as soon as the end of the year to many of their newer devices.
