Mlais MX58 HTC Butterfly clone is 1080p $180 phone

The Mlais MX58 and MX58T have both gone on sale across China, becoming yet another 1080p Chinese smartphone to go on sale for less than $200.

Available for both China Unicom and China Mobile networks, the latest Mlais 5-inch, phone represents pretty outstanding value for money. Priced at just $180 (in China) the phone boasts a Gorilla Glass 5-inch FHD1080 display, quad-core MT6589 CPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM and support for 64GB SD cards.

The rear camera is a 12 mega-pixel unit with F/2.2 aperture and 35mm wide-angle lens, while the front is a 2 mega-pixel unit. A 2500mAh battery powers the phone and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is the stock install.

The body of the phone comes in a number of colour options including black/red, white, yellow and red, and the overall layout of the phone is very similar to the current 5-inch HTC Butterfly.
