First official hands on with the Ubuntu Meizu MX3, one of the world’s first Linux powered smartphones!
Eduardo, Editor in Chief at GizChina.es, is making the rounds at MWC for us this year and has managed to get some exclusive hands on time with the latest device from Meizu, the Ubuntu Meizu MX3 phone!
For some time we have posted rumours and reports that Meizu and Canonical were joining in a partnership and it wasn’t until just before the start of Mobile World Congress that things got official.
This brief hands on taken by GizChina.es shows a comparison between the standard Meizu MX3 running Flyme based on Android and the Ubuntu version of the MX3.
Hands on with the Ubuntu Meizu MX3
Meizu mentioned during the hands on that the phone on show at MWC is still running a development version of the Linux OS, however the GizChina.es team found that the phone was fast with only the camera app causing any problems.
What do you think of the Ubuntu Meizu MX3?
We will have more hands on videos direct from MWC 2014 shortly!
