While browsing the Gionee stand I was surprised to see that IUNI were also present and had their new IUNI U3 Mini on show.
The IUNI U3 Mini is the 3rd Android smartphone from Gionee's internet based phone brand. Based on the design of the IUNI U3, the Mini has a smaller 5.2-inch display and ditches on-screen controls for buttons located below the sceen on the chin.
A smaller display also doesn't require the same 2K resolution as the 5.5-inch flagship, so resolution has been reduced to only 1920 x 1080.
Full specs weren't available to me while I was at the stand as the IUNI staff were away for lunch. I was able to learn that the phone has a 13 megapixel rear camera with single LED flash and that IUNI plan to launch the U3 Mini on sale via the internet to a few international markets but we will have to wait to learn which.
