New Google Pixel smartphone with very high prospect leaks
news_teaser">Google is working on a new upper mid-range Pixel smartphone. According to speculations, this device could be a real hit. This is if it comes with all the right features as well as the right price. Developer Kuba Wojciechowski has once again tweeted extensive information about a Google smartphone codenamed "Lynx". This time he disassembled the latest version of the Google Camera app. He came across a smartphone with the name "Lynx". Of course, this is only a codename. The code also reveals that this device is "mid-range".
Previously there were also rumours that it could be some kind of "Ultra" variant of the Pixel 7 series. So, despite the ceramic back cover, this will be a mid-range device. However, the "Pixel 7a" should come up with quite impressive equipment.
New Pixel smartphone to use 1080p resolution OLED display, dual cam setup with new sensors
There is talk of an OLED display from Google. It is supposed to offer a very smooth display with a Full HD resolution and a refresh rate of up to 90 Hertz. The camera drivers in particular provide some additional information. There is talk of a Sony IMX787 (64 megapixels). There are also reports of a Sony IMX712 (probably 13 megapixels) camera sensor on the back. The previously mentioned Samsung GN1 sensor has apparently been dropped.
As previously reported, the Google Tensor G2 should again be installed under the hood. The eight-core SoC is also manufactured by Samsung on a 4-nanometer process. It is based on a Samsung chip but has a number of Google's own adjustments. This is especially in the areas of machine learning and AI. There is no information yet on the capacity of the main memory.
Overall, the "Pixel 7a" sounds even better than the Pixel 7. Nevertheless, the device, with its positioning as a mid-range smartphone, should be cheaper. If Google works with a price below $500 here, you could land a real bestseller.
