OnePlus’ OnePlus X smartphone has leaked again in new detailed slides confirming the specification for the 5-inch phone and pricing.
There was a little confusion if the OnePlus X name referred to the leaked 5-inch phone or another device (perhaps a Mi Band rival) but new leaks seem to have cleared that up by naming the start-up’s next phone the X.
In previous leaks we had seen how the OnePlus X would be priced at 1699 Yuan and once again these images confirm that (higher than expected) price tag along with confirmation of some of the hardware.
According to the images the new OnePlus X will come with a 5-inch display, meaning it will be the smallest and most compact OnePlus device to date, will feature a Snapdragon 801 chipset clocked at 2.33Ghz, and of course will support 4G LTE.
Additional leaks tell us the OnePlus X will also ship with 3GB RAM, Android 5.1.1, options for 16 or 32GB RAM, a micro SD card bay (for 128GB cards) and 1920 x 1080 resolution display. Curved 2.5D glass will sit front and rear with a 13 mega-pixel camera on the rear and 8 mega-pixel selfie snapper on the front.
Interestingly the OnePlus X is the second phone (so far) to launch this year with last year’s Snapdragon 801 chipset. The ZUK Z1 (review here) also launched with the SD801 which coincidentally is the same SoC found in the original OPO.
Do the OnePlus X specifications surprise you? Could this 5-inch see it’s way in to your mobile life? The OnePlus X will officially launch tomorrow in China.
