The world's second most populous country is fast turning into a battleground for smartphone makers from all around the world. Not only are homegrown companies like Micromax, Xolo flourishing in India, but competition from the neighbourhood of China seems to be doing better than you would expect.
After OPPO, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Gionee, Meizu and a lot more, ZTE's Nubia will be the latest Chinese manufacturer to have an official sales channel in India. It'll again be an online-only affair, at least in the beginning; Nubia will be making use of Amazon's existing infrastructure to land its phones in users' hands.
Nubia will be coming to India with it's glamour bomb, the Nubia Z9 which was initially showcased to the world on May 6th. Only yesterday, Meizu hinted at its plans of announcing something for the Indian market on the 18th of this month -- the Nubia Z9 is scheduled to go official just the following day, i.e., May 19th.
No word on how much the phone will be priced in India. Take a look at a video that happens to be shared by Nubia in the country:
