OnePlus 8 series is coming - may be exclusive to Amazon

OnePlus 8 (Pro) is on its way - comes back to Amazon

There had been leaks and speculations regarding the OnePlus 8 series over the past few months. OnePlus was actually targeting May or June for the official release but it appears that the successors of OP7T and 7T Pro could touch down earlier. As we draw closer to the summer, new technologies will hit the industry. If OnePlus want to compete more with Samsung, Huawei, and Co., an earlier release is a better idea.

This year, there will also be a OnePlus 8 Lite which Amazon did not mention in this message. It could be that the compensation model does not apply to this device. In any case, it is already clear that Amazon is also selling the OnePlus 8 smartphones and may be able to do this exclusively again - at least at the beginning.

OnePlus could raise its prices this year because the Lite version gives users a cheaper option. Thus, it is most likely that the OnePlus 8 Pro will sell similarly like the Huawei P40 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S20+. So far, OnePlus has already confirmed that a 120 Hz display was developed for the OnePlus 8 Pro.

However, we do not expect the entire series to use this display. The lower OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Lite should continue to use the 90Hz display. OnePlus considers itself a flagship brand, it does not want to offer less in future smartphones.
