OnePlus introduces IDEAS platform to collect user feedback
OnePlus is one of the few Chinese smartphone brands which lays a big emphasis on community feedback. The products the company makes, especially software, are shaped by the feedback from its users. The brand regularly holds Open Ears Forum around the world to engage directly with its users. Now, upping their game, the company has announced a new program named OnePlus IDEAS with a target to get feedback from more of its users to implement new features in Oxygen OS.
What is IDEAS?
OnePlus IDEAS is a new ‘feedback-platform’ by the Chinese smartphone maker. It allows OnePlus Community users to submit their ideas to improve the company’s products like the much-loved OxygenOS. In case you are interested in submitting ideas, you will have to visit the OnePlus IDEAS page and log in to your OnePlus Community account to proceed. Since this is the first global beta of the program, it is only open to software-related ideas.
IDEAS submitted by the users are public and any other user can upvote or comment on them. The first global beta of the program has begun on 5th March and will run till 30th April. There will be a total of four rounds, in which the top 5 liked or upvoted ideas will be selected by the review and selection team every two weeks. The OS product team will also discuss among them and reply to these top 5 ideas.
Additionally, all the users participating in this program will be awarded in one way or another. For instance, users whose ideas get adopted will receive a VIP ticket to an upcoming OnePlus event, which includes expenses for the round trip and one-night accommodation. Whereas, the users with the top 5 most liked ideas will get 1000 community credits, customized community badge, and a pair of OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2. Lastly, everyone submitting their ideas are entitled with 20 community credits (once a day).
