The phone appears to feature a glossy plastic rear panel that has curved sides. Furthermore, the phone has a flat frame, which is probably of plastic material. Also, it houses a rectangular camera island at the back. This camera module appears to house two big cutouts and a small third cutout. Moreover, the camera module accommodates an LED flash. The right edge features the fingerprint scanner. Likewise, the volume buttons and SIM tray is available on the left edge.

Furthermore, the report suggests that the upcoming Lite version of the Nord CE 2 will have a hybrid SIM tray. In other words, the phone will not feature a dedicated micro-SD card slot. At the bottom, there's a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Aside from that, the bottom edge provides real estate for the main speaker grille. Regrettably, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite renders do not show the front panel. However, past leaks suggest that the phone will have a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner of the display.

The phone will boot Android 12 OS with a layer of Oxygen OS 12 on top. Moreover, it will be the first Nord series phone to run the latest Android 12 operating system. Earlier reports suggest that it will sport a 6.58-inch display with Full HD+ resolution. In addition to that, the phone will pack a Snapdragon 695 SoC with 5G support. For optics, it will reportedly come with a 64MP main camera, and a couple of 2MP depth and macro shooters at the back.

Upfront, the phone will reportedly feature a 16MP selfie camera. Moreover, it will be drawing the juices from a 5000 mAh battery unit that supports 33W fast charging, Lastly, the phone is likely to support a 90hz refresh rate.
