OnePlus Nord Snapdragon 460 variant will probably the cheapest OnePlus phone

OnePlus Nord Snapdragon 460 variant will probably the cheapest OnePlus phone

This year, OnePlus has pretty much evolved from a company that makes only premium devices to a mainstream smartphone maker. While we just have two flagships and an upper mid-range phone, reports indicate that the company will unveil another mid-range phone with Snapdragon 690 and 5G connectivity and two budget devices. The first appeared a few hours ago through a leaked report from Chun. According to that report, OnePlus will unveil a new smartphone by the end of September featuring a Snapdragon 460 SoC. Now a new report states that there's even a cheaper smartphone featuring a Snapdragon 460 and OnePlus Nord branding.

Two mid-range OnePlus Nord phones are coming very soon

If we count all the rumors, we have now at least three OnePlus Nord phones planned for the end of 2020. These phones are likely to come with triple and dual rear cameras. The cheaper 5G OnePlus Nord featuring the Snapdragon 690 SoC may carry Billie codename and will be one of the first smartphones to adopt the first 5G chipset in the SD6xx family.

While we don't know when the Snapdragon 460-powered OnePlus phone will appear, the Snapdragon 662 / SD655 phone is expected for the end of September. Its price will sit between the $213 and $240 mark in the competitive stronghold of India. Worth noting that a mysterious phone with Clover codename visited GeekBench with 4GB of RAM. It could be either the SD662 or the SD460 phone. Another interesting fact is that the company recently certified an 18W charger in TUV Rheinland. This charging capability would fit perfectly on any of these two upcoming budget smartphones.
