The OnePlus One was quite a phone when it first burst onto the scene, almost two years back. A $299 phone back then with a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM and a 1080p screen was completely unheard of, back then.
What's good is that the phone is still being supported by the makers of the device. Next in line is an update to Android Marshmallow.
According to testers of the ROM, the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow is in the final stages of testing. The ROM was initially planned for Q1 2016, but quite clearly, that didn't work out too well.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei tweeted to share the news.
Marshmallow for the One is in the final testing stage. Can't give ETA as it depends on other parties, but should be very soon.

That said, users of the first phone from this company can expect to finally get a taste of Marshmallow in the coming few weeks.
