Upcoming smartphones are usually enmeshed in series of leaks leading to the final unveiling, and the Oneplus 7 from the Chinese phone maker OnePlus has been subjects of many leaks recently - with a more recent report suggesting the OnePlus 7 could arrive with two other variants – the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus7 Pro 5G.
Well, it appears we could soon have a sigh of relief as the company's CEO Pete Lau has promised he would be making an all-important announcement on Wednesday, April 17. The announcement likely wouldn’t be the OnePlus 7 launch proper, but it could be an avenue to reveal the devices launch date, and perhaps treat us to some official renders or some other information.
His tweet reads;

Smartphones with the slider and pop-up cameras have been well on the rise recently, and that appears to be the trend The Oneplus 7 team would adopt for the upcoming flagship. A leak that surfaced hours ago also alleged the device will launch on May 14 – it’s largely unconfirmed, though there is the likelihood Lau will share details about that phone in a full post. Just check back tomorrow for what would appear to be the first official details of the upcoming device.
