After months of waiting and speculation, Chinese maker OPPO finally launched itself in the booming Indian smartphone market with their latest flagship -- the OPPO N1.
The device has already been on sale in China since late last year. However, OPPO are offering the limited edition CyanogenMod variant of the device to Indian buyers at a price of Rs. 39,999 for the 16GB variant. For those who aren't aware, the phone comes with a 5.9-inch 1920 x 1080p screen, a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and a 3610mAh battery under its hood. The USP of the device is the 13 mega-pixel rotating camera which acts both as a front and rear shooter, thus promising better 'selfie' shots than other devices.
Other catchy features of the device include a touch sensitive area on the rear which can be used to perform various actions, and a wireless Bluetooth accessory called 'O-Touch' which can act as trigger for the camera among others. More info can be found on the OPPO India site.
At Rs. 39,999, we do feel the device is a little overpriced considering the developing nature of the Indian market. What do you think?
