The Oppo R1S is 4G enabled, Snapdragon powered variation of the popular upper-tier device, the Oppo R1. Now, its Chinese release date has been revealed and we getting a look at press friendly images, with the date and time of the devices release.
We already got a look at the Oppo R1S when it passed through the Tenaa certification process and its back panel leaked, but this is just further confirmation of the upcoming device's look. More importantly, we now know that the Oppo R1S will be released in China on April 25th at 10am (presumably Beijing time).
The phone is compatible with both Chinese and global 4G wireless bands. It looks nearly identical to the R1, but with the Snapdragon 400 chipset rather than the Mediatek chipset in the R1. It is also said to boast 2GB of RAM instead of just 1GB and have a 13MP camera instead of an 8MP camera. Its quad-core CPU has also seen an increase in clock speed from 1.3Ghz to 1.6Ghz.
There also appears to be a deal that packages the phone with a free 4,000mAh battery bank and free bluetooth speaker.
We will have more on the Oppo R1S as its expected release date nears. Is this reveal enough to get you excited?
