Oppo R9S drops by TENAA for an early public viewing

Another 9 from Oppo but its not the Find 9 we have been hoping for, instead its the Oppo R9S we get an early look at.

Oppo launched the R9 earlier this year, and already they have a refreshed model of the phone in the pipelines.

Unsurprisingly the new update is simply called the Oppo R9S and visually looks identical to the original version of the phone. The major updates for the device is the Mediatek Helio P10 processor has been dropped in favour of a Snapdragon 625.

The SD625 is a 14nm chipset so should give better efficiency and features an Adreno 506GPU and Cat 7 LTE support along with Qualcomm Fast Charge 3.0.

We expect pricing of the new Oppo R9S to be the same as the current version with the older R9 being slowly fazed out over the coming weeks at the time the refreshed model is launched.
