In April this year, a number of Oppo devices passed the 3C certification. These devices support 4G networks and their charging rate is 5V 1A or 5V 1.5A. Furthermore, these devices will hit the shelf without power adapters.

From the configuration point of view, the charging rate of the new device is the same as Oppo’s own smartwatch. Oppo Watch 41 mm uses 5V 1A charging while Oppo Watch 46 mm uses 5V 1.5A charging. In addition, Oppo recently submitted a trademark called "Oppo Watch Free" to the European Intellectual Property Office. We expect this device to be Oppo's first sports smartwatch.

As of now, there is no official information on the price of this upcoming Oppo smartwatch. However, we expect the company to reveal this information at the launch event. From the design outline, it appears that this device will be a premium smartwatch. Thus, we do not expect it to be cheap. However, as a Chinese manufacturer, Oppo will want to keep the price on the low side so as to have a chance in the market.

OPPO registers the "OPPO Watch Free" trademark

According to recent reports, Oppo recently submitted a trademark called "OPPO Watch Free" to the European Intellectual Property Office. Like we said earlier, this smartwatch will probably be Oppo's first-ever sports smartwatch. Looking at the details of the trademark, it is classified as "wearable activity trackers", "watches", and "sports watches". This is why there are speculations that this device will be a sport smartwatch but there is no certainty yet.
