When not building dual screen smartphones, Oukitel are busy with other projects such as the recently revealed Oukitel U7 costing from just $49.99.
Oukitel are hoping a big 5.5-inch screen and low introductory price will be enough to attract buyers to pick up the Oukitel U7 in an upcoming flash sale.
Flash sales have become a popular method of building hype for Chinese phone makers, but it also offers customers the chance to pick up a new phone at a lower retail price.
The Oukitel U7 will officially cost $69.99 when it is launched, but during an early flash sale the price will be cut buy $20 to only $49.99. At such a low price certain features have had to make way for others, so instead of LTE we have an 8 mega-pixel rear camera (as opposed to 5 mega-pixel on similar priced phones).
Specifications also include a 2000mAh battery (cut to a slim design), 1.3ghz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and 32GB SD card support, and 5.5-inch 960 x 540 display.
No details of when or where the flash sale will be held, but our guess is early September.
