Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a Xl pass bluetooth certification

Google is expected to launch a mild refresh of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL despite plans to unveil the Pixel 4 later this year. Tipped to arrive as the Pixel 3a and 3a XL, both devices are expected to launch with mid-range specs compared to last year’s Pixel 3 lineup as suggested by previous leaks. Both devices only a few hours ago appeared on the Geekbench site, and now, both devices have cleared the Bluetooth certification ahead of their May 7 debut.

The Bluetooth studio once again alludes to the fact that Google's upcoming cheaper mid-range device will be named Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3aXL. That isn't new anyway, the Bluetooth studio has certified a total of eight variants of the upcoming devices - four for the Pixel3a and another four for its larger brother the Pixel 3a XL all supporting Bluetooth 5 and Android 9.0 Pie. We can't tell what sets these variant apart, but it won't be long before we get full detail of the upcoming devices.

Previous leaks/reports say the Pixel 3a and Pixel3a Xl will come packed with some mid-range specs including Snapdragon 670 processors, Snapdragon 710 for the larger XL variant, 4GB RAM, 3,000mAh batteries, and 12-megapixel cameras on their backs. A recent render suggests these devices will come in a new purple color scheme in addition to a black, and a white variant. Reports also suggest the devices will retain the 3.5mm audio jack, but we would get to know all there is to know on May 7th, at Google’s I/O 2019 keynote when they are expected to be unveiled.
