The Pomp C6 is a quality quad-core flagship phone at a time of 8-core devices. The decision for Pomp to launch their range topper with an older quad-core chipset might seem like an odd one from a marketing point of view, but actually is quite smart.
While most Chinese phone makers compete with one another for supply of the latest 8-core chips and struggle with whatever compatibility and optimisation issues the new chips may need fixing, Pomp will have an easier time of things and should be able to bring a sorted device to customers.
