Rumor: Samsung works with LG to build true bezel-less, quad edge display?

Rumor has it that Samsung and LG are already working closely to design and manufacture a display that's curved on all four sides, scheduled to be used in their next-gen flagship models.

Rumor: Samsung works with LG to build true bezel-less, quad edge display?

Currently Samsung uses a dual curved display (curved on the left-right edges) for their Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ models, but the two companies aim higher and have focused on their goal. Both companies just unveiled their smartphones equipped with impressive displays called Infinity Display and Full Vision respectively, but if rumors are correct, then the coming 1-2 years will be those of the quad edge display smartphones ;)

According to reports, this type of display is expected to occupy 98% of the frontal portion of the phone, offering improved usability on the screen without the need to increase the actual size of the phone. However there seem to be a couple of problems in the way of Samsung and LG; one issue is that each quad edge display has a specific spot where there's no touch response and the other is that current lamination techniques don't seem to work with four curved displays.

This means that if Samsung (or/and LG) want to use quad edge displays on their next flagship models, they will have to find new ways to laminate them and solve all the relevant problems that may appear in their way.
