Latest Information About the Galaxy S23 Lineup

This week, at CES 2023, Samsung showcased its stunning 2000 nits AMOLED display. But the sad part is that the display is not making its way to the Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup this year.

Prominent Samsung tipster IceUniverse has confirmed that the peak brightness bump is not coming to the Galaxy S23 Ultra. And if the high-end phone does not get it, there is no chance that its smaller brothers will get it.

According to the current information, all three devices of the Galaxy S23 series share the same peak brightness level. They are capped at 1750 nits. Although the peak brightness is an upgrade for the standard S23, the bigger brother, the S23 Ultra, is lagging behind.

This decision will narrow the gap between the Galaxy S23 Ultra and its less-premium counterparts. And it also makes Apple get ahead of Samsung in the display department for the very first time.

To give you a little context, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max had a big leap this year. The superior display tech in the iPhone lineup is currently standing at a peak brightness level of 2000 nits. And this could make Samsung lose ground to Apple in the ultra-premium and premium market segments.
