Chinese phone manufacturer Smartisan have recently launched the Smartisan Nut Pro, a 5.5-inch phone with mid-range specs and a rather unique design. If we have to compare the Nut Pro to something else on the Chinese market, the Elephone S7 comes to mind, with its as much unique looks and similar price segment.
The choice between the two phones is really up to personal taste though, with the Smartisan Nut Pro featuring a very "blocky" design with a dual rear camera setup, and the Elephone S7 sporting a beautiful curved bezel-less display. The first one is probably easier to handle meanwhile the second is a pleasure for the eyes.
An important factor could be the overall size of the phone, in this case the Elephone S7 has an edge over the Smartisan Nut Pro with its much smaller dimensions.
Hardware wise, the two phones aren't that different, they both feature 5.5-inch Full HD displays, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, depending on the version.
As far as software goes, we have the Smartisan Nut Pro running its homemade Smartisan OS 3.7, meanwhile the Elephone S7 runs Android 7.0 Nougat with the update to 7.1 on the way.
And lastly — price; the Smartisan Nut Pro 4GB/64GB version costs about $260 and is still really hard to find, on the other side the Elephone S7 4GB/64GB can be found for $179.99 on websites like AliExpress.
