We've seen hordes of Chinese tablets attempt to recreate the magic of the Microsoft Surface. Today we'll take a look at another, the Teclast Tbook 16S.
While the spec sheet of this tablet is rather uninspiring, the design is probably the reason behind its existence. At a little over $250, the Tbook 16S isn't dirt cheap, either. Anyway, let's take a quick look at the specifications.
The tablet comes with the Intel Z8300 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, with a 11.6-inch full HD display upfront. Besides that, the Teclast Tbook 16S has dual cameras (2 mega-pixel front, 5 mega-pixel rear) and a micro SD card slot for expansion of storage. It runs Windows 10 as well as Android 5.1 (one at a time ;) ).
Teclast probably plan to make a 4G-ready version of this device, as indicated by a dormant SIM slot. That would be interesting, and probably the standard in the coming months.
For now the device is on pre-sale, with shipping scheduled to commence mid-September. Sadly though, the keyboard and the stylus are add-on accessories that need to be purchased separately.
